Can a school enquiry be short and still useful?

I am making a shortlist that now includes Bachpan Play School, Nallagandla. The temptation is to send a ten-part questionnaire, but I think we're still missing basic information such as whom to contact and which dates matter. What would you establish first before asking about the finer points of the day?
