A preschooler wants their favourite toy at every event

Our child wants to bring a soft toy to every visit, outing and family dinner. Sometimes that's fine; sometimes it would be inconvenient or easy to lose. How can we set a simple rule while still valuing that favourite toy?

Give a simple rule about where the toy can come and where it stays at home.
