Many parents from my daycare go for these interactions every year. From what they tell me, when one parent had a real work emergency, most schools either let the other parent come alone or gave another slot, if they informed beforehand. Best is to write to the school now itself, say you are a doctor on call, and ask what they prefer. Schools see this all the time.

I run a small daycare and see this every day with the little ones. The children who help put their own snack in the box eat it. The ones whose box arrives packed by someone else pick at it. It was like that with my own two when they were in school also. Three things on rotation is fine, at least you know they are eaten.
