Newborn feeding every 1.5–2 hours — is this how the first weeks usually feel?

Our baby is just over two weeks old and the days and nights are blending together. Feeding is very frequent and we are second-guessing every small sound. Not looking for a diagnosis, just experiences from parents on what helped you settle into a workable routine. I am trying to decide this week, so practical details would help more than general pros and cons.

If you can, line up practical help with food and laundry rather than only baby-holding help. That was much more useful in our first month. We changed our approach after about a month because the first plan was too hard to sustain.

For visitors we gave a simple message: please check before coming, wash hands, and postpone if unwell. Most people were fine once the rule was the same for everyone.

Thank you. I like that this does not require changing everything at once. Having one simple shared routine saved us a lot of confusion. In our house, the practical routine mattered more than the ideal plan.
